Volume 1, May 1996
Carved it
on my body.
Engraved it.
Made the bones show.
Eroded angles
slowly like sand.
Gouged shadows
under eyes
and under brutal hips.
A tale of gaps
and hollows told on skin.
A potter with wet clay
and one sharp tool at her disposal
scoring, over and over.
My body is my howl.
